IN REGARDS TO THE POTENTIAL TARIFFS
Hey all, Bryce here. This is a quick one.
As with the last time we went through this situation in 2025, I wanted to let our buyers and Kickstarter Backers who are still awaiting their products know that Wraithmarked Creative will not be instituting any additional fees to cover potential tariff costs.
At this time, it's unclear if there will be new global tariffs, much less what they'll be if they come into being. Regardless, in the event that they happen, please rest assured there will be no surprise fees put in place to cover those costs if you have already purchased a book from Wraithmarked Creative or are awaiting a product from one of our campaigns. We'll manage the additional cost one way or the other.
Here's to hoping these tariffs don't come to fruition, period.
All the best, and thank you, everyone, for your patience while we've navigated the complexities of publishing in 2025/26.

Where Loyalties Lie Proofs Have Arrived! Also... a Fulfillment Update and a Wraithmarked Update!

Hi everyone!
Hope you're having a wonderful week! At the beginning of February, we received word from the printer that the tip-ins Rob had signed arrived safe and sound! With those in-hand, they can be bound in the final versions of the books when that time comes - one more box checked!
We also FINALLY received the proofs for Where Loyalties Lie on our doorstep. Take a look!!
TA-DAAAA!
A lil sneak peek at the illustrated edges!
These look incredible to us, and we only had one minor tweak to make before approving them!
The chapter headers!
Interior design breaks!
End sheets and interior foiled dust jacket!
And now... here are both books side-by-side!
Name a more iconic duo - we'll wait.
From left to right: Where Loyalties Lie proof, The Sword of Kaigen book block, and The Sword of Kaigen sprayed edge proof (don't worry, the finals WILL be illustrated).

ALL the pictures in this update!
All of this being said (and shown), we wanted to let you folks know that The Sword of Kaigen print run is nearly finished and barring any additional delays, should be shipping out the first week of March. As for Where Loyalties Lie, we have a slight tweak we needed to make as mentioned above, but we're not anticipating it to cause any significant delays. The last update we received from the printer estimated a late March completion for this book in particular, but we're checking with them again to confirm that for you all.
Thanks everyone for stopping by and for your patience. We are so incredibly close to finishing this one and we promise, these will absolutely be worth the wait!
A look behind the curtain...
Typically, we like to show you guys behind the scenes goings on when it comes to book production such as quote requests, a look at the interior art and merch goodies offered during the campaign, maybe even an author signing (or two, in this case) - that kind of stuff! However, when we can, we also like to let you folks know that we are still a small, independent company with a handful of dedicated employees wanting to make waves in the publishing world. We've come a long way from when we ran our very first campaign, which brings us to today...
We are officially moving into our first warehouse! No more garages or storage units! WOOHOO!
This may not be the most exciting news for some, but for us, it was a looong time coming. We are so excited to begin this new journey in a new location, and we've already started moving our things over! We now have a loading dock! (Like I said, very exciting for us)
That being said, during this process, our support and responses will be a little longer than normal as it's all-hands-on-deck for the move. We're anticipating things to return to normal later next week, but keep in mind, we may have a slight backlog to get through. If you have questions at any point in this process, check out the campaign FAQs and if you need additional help, please send an email to [email protected].
See you in the next one!
Signature Pages Being Signed! And a Project With a Life-Changing Cause Worth Checking Out!
– Mon, Jan 19, 2026 at 06:09:41 AM
Hey everyone!
We wanted to follow up on an earlier update and let you all know that the signature pages (tip-ins) for Where Loyalties Lie have finished printing, been sent to the author, and are officially in progress! Wooo! The holidays caused a slight delay in getting those to Rob, but they're in-hand and he has begun signing.
Lookin' good!
Once the pages are complete, we'll be sure to let y'all know!
Everyone say "Hi, Rob!"
And now also...
A PROJECT WITH A CAUSE... AN AUTHOR IN NEED OF SUPPORT.
Six years ago, Melissa Wright jumped off the bed of a pickup and felt a weird twinge up her spine. While not seeming serious at the time, it actually created a cerebrospinal fluid leak that took three years to diagnose—years with worsening symptoms that eventually left her unable to walk, tolerate visual or audio stimuli, use fine motor skills, or have normal cognitive function.
Fixing the leak provided some improvement, but the past three years have still be a struggle against cognitive and physical issues that have FINALLY been diagnosed. Her jugular veins are compressed, meaning blood doesn’t flow out of her skull well. Sort of like how a clogged drain backs up a sink. BUT, there is a surgery that can fix this, and she’s scheduled to undergo it in February. It is expected to give her most of her functionality back, but it’s out of state and at least partially out-of-network, so medical bills are going to be steep.

A Special THANK YOU! And... a BIG Update Regarding Printing!

Hi there folks!
Firstly, apologies for the copy/paste nature to this part of the update as we have lots of campaigns to touch on! We just wanted to update everyone and say...
THANK YOU FOR COMING BY OUR BOOTH AND SAYING HELLO. <3
Dragonsteel Nexus was a wonderful experience for all of us - this was our first time vending at this convention and we had no idea what to expect. I think I speak for the whole Wraithmarked crew when I say we were all blown away by the support and love y'all shared with us. We had so many of you come by, tell us where you heard of us from, what campaigns you backed, what you were looking forward to, and lots of folks who had no idea we were gonna be there! We saw some new faces (hello if you late pledged to this campaign!) and chatted with any and everyone. The whole trip was a blast!
Thank you again for making our first Dragonsteel Nexus the best convention we've ever been to!
The Wraithmarked booth! Still setting up, but lookin good!
Bryce signing 'Iron Prince' for a fan and me, dissociating.
Eira signing a copy of her book 'Run Like Hell' for a fan, me chatting (dissociating), and the true hero of the convention: the white sugar-free can in the bottom of the picture. The true savior of Dragonsteel!
Now for a printing update...
As many of you know (and can see from the pictures above), we finally got in the proofs for The Sword of Kaigen! They look incredible save for one major difference between these and the final print run - take a closer look below!
They exist!
The dust jacket and the case art by Wraithmarked's own Tom Jilesen!
The yellow bits on the inside dust jacket are actually foil! Hard to capture that in a picture, sadly.
A look at the second endsheet. We'll be posting an update soon with all designs from both books! (We maaaay have forgotten to shout those out when they were finished! >.<
An aerial view. Note: the blue sprayed edges will actually be illustrated!
We are absolutely thrilled with how these turned out. SO many of you at Dragonsteel came to gaze upon this book's glory, flip through the pages, swoon... trust us, we did, too.
One big change to note is the final print run of the books will have illustrated edges! These proofs only came sprayed blue and that was a mistake on our end. We've made sure that going forward, the illustrated edges will be present on both books. It's too late to change the quote for the proofs for Where Loyalties Lie, so just keep that in mind!
In regards to Where Loyalties Lie...
Over the weekend, we received word from the printer that the proof copies are scheduled to be completed and sent out around mid/late January! We are so stoked to finally be able to see these beauties in person, you have no idea. Worth the wait, for sure! Both of these books side by side might be too powerful to gaze upon...
In addition, with both proofs (hopefully) in hand by the end of January, we're currently looking at a late March fulfillment according to our printer. This is a rough estimate, but we wanted to share it with you all so you can be as updated as we currently are (we addressed the delay in our previous update HERE); as well, going into the holiday season may cause a couple weeks to be lost in this timeline. Better to anticipate just in case as folks/businesses take time off around the end of the year.
All that being said, we still have other art and such to share with you guys in the meantime, but as we get closer to printing, our updates may be a little bland. We'll still touch base with you all and continue letting you know the latest!
